New vaccine for deadly respiratory viruses to be tested in Queensland

A new vaccine candidate for life-threatening respiratory viruses is being tested by researchers in Queensland.

The vaccine, developed by Vicebio aims to prevent serious respiratory viruses respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and Human metapneumovirus (hMPV), which are particularly serious for very young and elderly people as well as placing considerable burden on hospital systems.
