Nuclear power radioactive to budget bottom-line

On Friday the Coalition’s shadow climate change minister Ted O’Brien releasing costings from Frontier Economics that claimed nuclear power in Australia would provide consumers with lower power costs.

This is despite concerns about the economic feasibility of nuclear power from the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) and the CSIRO GenCost report.

Stephen Hill asked Greg Bourne of the Climate Council whether the Coalition’s plan to transition to nuclear stands up to scrutiny.
