Federal Election campaign calls for major action on housing

A group of anti-poverty campaigners have recently launched their Federal election campaign to address the national housing crisis.

According to the group, the cost of the backlog of maintenance on housing trust properties in South Australia is around $400 million.

Despite efforts for extra funding, it’s not enough to meet demand for public housing.

The Wire’s Nicky page spoke with Victorian housing campaigner, Jordan Van Den Lamb, well known on TikTok as Purple Pingers, about the issue of vacant homes.
