The Northern Territory government has decided to close schools based in detention centres.
Schools in Alice Springs’ Detention Centre are the latest ones to close, and youth detainees will be moved to Darwin.
Workers in the schools are concerned as they provide life-changing programs to support detainees.
Hip Hop advocate Dan The Underdog says the changes in students are noticeable.
The Wire’s contributors from 8 TRIPLE C’s Big Brekky Show asked Dan his thoughts about the closures.
