This week marks the two-year anniversary since the AUKUS alliance was announced. The federal Labor government has continued the former Coalition government’s commitment to AUKUS, spending more than $368 billion on nuclear-powered submarines.
And while we need to be open to new partnerships that help build robust defence systems, can we build our own independent capabilities in doing so?
