It can be hard getting help for victims of domestic violence when you live in a city. But in the country, services already can be hard to access with big distances and limited access. Just finding a place in a refuge in cases of emergency can be so much harder.
Front line workers who can assist those in need also are finding it hard to cope as diminishing resources force greater and greater difficult choices. The polyglot of funding through various government programs can be hard to manage to provide a whole of service model at a human level.
