Galleries in remote WA light up for Warrarnku Ninti Art Festival

Ahead of NAIDOC week, The Shire of East Pilbara in Western Australia has collaborated with First Nations Martumili Artists as part of the Warrarnku Ninti Festival.

From July 5th to July 8th, Art galleries in the city of Newman have been transformed to offer an immersive show of light and sound.

The artists and their families are the traditional custodians of vast stretches of the Great Sandy, Little Sandy and Gibson Deserts as well as the Karlamilyi (Rudall River) area.
