Jubiliation and Uncertainty as Assad falls

Syria’s Bashar-Al Assad’s regime has fallen has Rebels take the capital city of Damascus, the former President has now fled to Moscow with his family.

The coalition of rebels led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham or HTS, is now set to assume power along with Turkish backed groups such as the Syrian National Army.

The event brings celebration and uncertainty to Syrians who one hand celebrate the end of what was widely perceived as decades of authoritarian rule but minorities fear for their rights, given the rebels Islamist make up.
