Tik Tok Project offers support to First Nations youth

A year from Australia’s Voice referendum, one Aboriginal elder says the impacts are still felt deeply within First Nation’s communities, particularly amongst youth.

The Aunty TJ TikTok project was developed through the Centre of Best Practice in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Suicide Prevention as a response to the referendum outcome.
The platform is aimed at mitigating reports of increased discrimination and racism experienced on other social media, by circulating positive messages around wellbeing, cultural identity and care for Country.
