The fate of a Vietnamese family at risk of deportation because of a bungled visa now rests squarely with the discretion of the government.
The Immigration minister has agreed to review the case and yesterday told parliament the Nguyens from Bathurst may not be to blame for their visa predicament.
The community is now patiently waiting for an outcome.
