The future of Australia’s steelworks remains in the spotlight, with both state and federal governments pledging a multibillion dollar support package after Whyalla Steelworks was thrust into administration last week.
Part of the green iron investment fund in this package has been allocated for transition to green steel production.
With the region manufacturing around 75 percent of the country’s steel, how could these changes support a transition to green metal..and why is it important to maintain domestic steel production?
